As the sun rises on a peaceful farmland setting, the animals of the barnyard rouse themselves from their peaceful slumber. Among them, a simple worm greeting the day. However, the peace of this idyllic scene is quickly shattered by the hardened beak of an avian whirling dervish. An apparition spawned from satan's own chicken coop, it descends upon our unsuspecting nematode everyman in a cyclone of razor-sharp talons...
So begins the tale of "Gone Fishin'", the tragi-comic dramedy which debuted at Siggraph '99 for a limited run. Audiences were wowed as the computer animated short reminded them of a time long forgotten by the human race--a time when each new day began another struggle between life and death.
"Gone Fishin'" also marks the directorial debut of Art Director/Computer Animator Keith Turner, a man brave enough to explode popular myths and attempt to answer the difficult question "does the early bird really get the worm?" Not necessarily. Not if the worms have gotten up even earlier...
What the critics are saying about "Gone Fishin'":
"If you liked Pixars 'Toy Story' and 'A Bugs Life', then youre not alone!!"
"In the proud tradition of PDI's 'ANTZ', 'Gone Fishin' is also computer animated!!"D O W N L O A D T T H E M M O V I E N N O W !!
